Feelings | Solo Show
A fine art solo show located in The Town Hall Theatre, Galway featuring paintings on paper, canvas and wood. The paintings on display explore a wide range of human emotions through colour.
‘Through spending lots of time in nature I would often look at all the stones at the beach from a distance, but when you take the time to look at them more closely, you would see all the different colours, textures, shapes and recognise that while we are all human, we are very different internally.’
Upon walking into the space you meet stepping stones; a collection of paintings which gently guide you through the start of the exhibition, looking in to the shapes.
These stepping stones demonstrate Finbar’s journey towards breaking free from control and allowing self expression. Each work is a reflection of his experience with learning to paint outside the lines.
As you move forward through the exhibition you are given space to delve into feelings in greater depth while finally in the back room you can interact with feelings in their truest form.
The pieces in this exhibition offer avenues for healing and reflection, and upon leaving you are invited to carry this openness throughout your day to create time and space for your own journey.
